Introduction
There is increasing demand for the pre-installation of the Linux operating system in computers, due to increasing awareness of the quality of Open Source and also the increasing need to avoid illegal use of software.
Linux is a Free and Open Source Software meaning that it can be freely installed and distributed without paying license fees (it has a license, but the the license is free).
To facilitate installation of Linux by computer vendors, the Open Institute is pleased to offer a two-day free of charge Linux installation course for the staffs of all computer vendors who want to support the use of Linux operating for their clients.

What participants will learn in the course:

• Introduction to Linux openSUSE 11.0
• Linux Installation
• Basic Hardware Configuration
• Software Installation
• Introduction to Linux applications and most common problems

Audience
This course is intended mainly for regular staffs (not volunteer) whose work is to  perform software installation in new computers. After completing this course participants will be prepared to install the Linux Operating System and software for  their clients, as well as dual boot installation (installation of both Windows and Linux in the same computer). In order to properly benefit from the course trainees are required to have basic knowledge of Windows installation.

Live CD and DVD of OpenSUSE
Soft Materials

Place and Schedule
The course will be conducted for 6 hours on weekends (Saturday and Sunday mornings)
