Problem with Khmer justified text now fixed in Firefox 3.0 Beta

As you can see at http://www.khmeros.info/drupal/?q=en/node/2004, using text-align:justify in the style sheet will cause improperly rendering of Khmer scripts (also most Indian scripts) in Firefox. Now this problem has been fixed in Firefox 3.0 Beta. Actually, KhmerOS did nothing regarding to the fix :) Problem in previous version of Firefox:

openSUSE 10.3: 1-CD Installation & Multimedia support

You're invited to the Installation Party

On 17th June 2006, KhmerOS will make a small event called Installation Party at its office from 8:00AM to 17:00PM. Everyone are welcome to this party together with their computer to get Khmer software installed. Not only about installing software, we would also like to invite you to visit our place. It has been a very long time that we contact each other only via the internet. We have no chance to see each other. You'll enjoy some light food and drink (not beer, of cause) together with some souvenir.

KDE 3.5.3 released

May 31, 2006: The KDE Project announced the immediate availability of KDE 3.5.3, a maintenance release for the latest generation of the most advanced and powerful free desktop for GNU/Linux and other UNIXes. In this release, you'll find more application translated in Khmer such as Kopete, the instant messenger and chatting program, and Kmail, the email program. KhmerOS at Internet Party

On 15th May 2006, there will be an event at BS Department Store, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is called Internet Party. It's mostly related to Internet knowledge and experience sharing. KhmerOS will be there as well. We think that it is a good opportunity to bring Khmer Unicode to the people and to share our experience with it. Moyura, Mekhala and Chatzilla are what we'll show during the event. Sending email, chatting using Khmer unicode and browsing webpage or weblog that is written in Khmer Unicode are our main topics.

KDE 3.5.2 released

The latest version of a powerful Free Software graphical desktop environment for Linux and Unix workstations is released. It is available in 69 languages including Khmer. For Khmer, you'll get almost every program translated that are needed for your daily life such as internet/email, multimedia and entertainment, graphic design... KDE also has its own office application that's Koffice but since OpenOffice is good enough to feed your office and administration works, we did not translate Koffice.
