In
order to complete the Software Package and reduce training needs,
all documentation for the user interface and the available
applications must also be translated into Khmer, and be made
available in computer as well as paper format.
The
translation of documents, as well as the translation of software,
must be preceded by the translation of a Glossary of Computer terms,
once this work is done, the following documents will have to be
translated.

Considering that a translator translates in the average
(conservative estimate) 3 pages per day for 220 days, two full time
translators would be needed. As sometimes the process of finding and
translating information will be more complicated, and new materials
will appear, one more person should be dedicated, making a total of
three translators.
Documentation for software usually takes four different forms:
Structured information that is included inside the software package
and may be called specifically at any time in a context-related
manner (information for the operation that the user is performing at
any specific moment).
Structured information that may be consulted in the Internet or
offline. The information is structured in several –closely related-
webpages.
A
Paper copy of the documentation.
The
electronic equivalent of the printed information. The PDF format
creates documents that are easy to send through the Internet and
which are equal to the printed documentation. If the document is
printed it will be identical to the documentation. PDF files also
permit hyperlinks, so information within the file is easy to find.
Once
the documentation is translated, it will have to be structured in
all these format, to make it easy for user to access it in any way.
It is important to consider that only a few of the users will have
access to the printed documentation, others will only be able to
consult it online.
The
documentation will be printed in independent booklets for each
application.
